How to play

  1. Drift back to the centre lane between gates โ€” one move then reaches any opening.
  2. Read two gates ahead when the pace allows it.
  3. Late slides are the number one killer; commit before the gate scales up.
  4. The tunnel speed rises continuously, so recheck your rhythm every ten gates.
  5. Survived gates are your score โ€” chain safe reads for long runs.

About this game

Tunnel Rush is first-person speed distilled to one decision per gate. You stand at the mouth of a neon rectangle tunnel that streams toward you; every few beats a coloured gate appears spanning all three lanes, blocking two of them. Your ship sits at the bottom of the tunnel, and your only job is being in the open lane when the gate arrives.

The pseudo-3D rendering sells the speed: gates scale up from a distant point, the tunnel walls breathe with pulsing outlines, and your little ship tilts as it slides between lanes. Score is measured by how many gates you survive, and the acceleration is relentless โ€” the comfortable read you had at gate ten is gone by gate thirty.

The strategic texture comes from the three-lane geometry. Because gates can leave any single lane open, consecutive gates often force zigzags โ€” open left, then open right, then open middle โ€” and a lane switch started too late is a crash with your name on it. Advanced players pre-slide: they drift toward the centre lane between gates because from there, one move reaches any opening.

Controls are one swipe left or right, with arrow keys on desktop. Runs are short, retries are instant, and your best gate count is stored locally. This is the fastest-looking thirty seconds in the catalogue.

Frequently asked questions

How many lanes does each gate block?

Two of the three lanes are always blocked; exactly one stays open.

How fast does it get?

Speed rises continuously. Early gates arrive at a walk; by gate thirty you are reacting on instinct.

What is the best lane strategy?

Return to the centre lane between gates โ€” from there a single slide reaches any opening.

How is the score counted?

One point per gate survived, with your best stored on the device.
