Drag to move, tap to jump-touch the ball. Two-player mode: left half of the screen controls the left player.
How to play
- Three touches per side: bump high, set near the net, then jump for the spike.
- Centre contacts control the ball; edge contacts spray it unpredictably.
- Sand slows your dash — start moving earlier than feels necessary.
- Spike by timing a jump-contact right at the net, not before.
- Long rallies are tracked — defensive saves keep records alive.
About this game
Volleyball Bump turns the beach classic into a physics toy you can argue over. Two characters bounce across their own sand courts, the ball obeys honest arcs, and every touch counts: three touches max per side before it must cross the net. First to eleven points with a two-point lead takes the match.
The touch system is deliberately arcade-simple but physically deep. Contact position determines everything — bumping with your character’s middle sends the ball high and controlled, edge contacts spray it wide, and jumping into a contact at the net produces spikes that shake the opposing court. A single rally can go from panicked defence to a set-spike finish in three touches, and long rallies are where the game sings.
Solo mode offers a three-tier AI that serves, defends and spikes with increasing conviction, while the local two-player mode puts both courts on one screen — left player on the left half, right player on the right — for head-to-head beach battles with zero setup. Score is kept automatically, side-outs are called properly, and the serve rotates with the rules.
Environmental flavour comes free: the sand slows your dash, the sun sits behind one court making high balls harder to read on that side, and match point gets its own drum roll. Rallies are tracked, with your longest exchange stored as a local record worth chasing even while losing.
Frequently asked questions
What wins the match?
First to eleven points with at least a two-point lead, following real volleyball side-out rules.
How many touches per side?
Three maximum before the ball must cross the net, just like real volleyball.
Can two people play on one device?
Yes — the left half of the screen controls one player, the right half the other.
Does the sand affect play?
Yes, it slows horizontal movement, and the sun sits behind one court to shade that side's high balls.
