How to play
- Vault spears late and low — early jumps clip the spear tips.
- Slides carry long: start the slide early under portcullises.
- Cracked tiles collapse one beat after you cross them — keep moving.
- Crowns sit on risky lines; banners mark the safe road.
- Two stumbles wake the collapse wall — recover your rhythm immediately.
About this game
Knight Vault gives the endless-runner treatment a medieval body: an armoured knight sprinting through a castle that is actively falling apart behind him. Walls crack, floors give way, and the obstacle language is pure knight-fantasy — spears to vault, low blades to slide under, broken battlements that demand a double-jump and swinging portcullises timed like drums.
The knight’s weight is the design hook. Unlike featherweight runners, he has committed momentum: jumps are heavy but clearing, slides are long but costly to start, and chaining a vault directly into a slide is the fluid move that separates survivors from suits of armour scattered across the flagstones. Obstacles are telegraphed with honest visual cues — the portcullis rattles before it drops, cracked floor tiles signal their collapse a beat ahead.
The castle catches up. A collapse wall chases you at a pace calibrated to your mistakes: stumble twice in quick succession and the rubble is suddenly visible in your peripheral vision. Collectible banners line the safe route while higher-value crowns sit in risky lines that often coincide with the trickiest obstacle combos.
Distance is scored in metres with a local best, and three checkpoint stages per run ease the learning curve without softening the late game. It is the most characterful runner in the catalogue — less about reflexes, more about respecting momentum.
Frequently asked questions
How many jumps do I get?
One ground jump plus one mid-air double jump — resetting each time you land.
What is chasing me?
A castle collapse wall that speeds up when you stumble, calibrated to keep every run tense.
Are there checkpoints?
Yes, three per run. Reaching one saves your distance if the run ends shortly after.
What do crowns do?
They are high-value collectibles placed on dangerous lines, adding risk-reward to route choice.
