How to play

  1. Jump late rather than early โ€” the apex should clear the root, not the approach.
  2. Duck early on fast runs; the branch arrives sooner than it looks.
  3. Two roots in a row need two quick taps, not one big hold.
  4. Reserve a mid-air duck for branch-after-jump combos.
  5. Distance scores faster over time, so every extra second counts double.

About this game

Jungle Runner is the two-move endless runner done right: obstacles come in exactly two shapes โ€” roots on the ground and branches at head height โ€” and you have exactly two answers. Tap anywhere to leap the roots, swipe down on the lower half of the screen to duck the branches. Every other endless runner buries this clean idea under power-ups and coin trails; this one lets the pure timing carry it.

Speed builds continuously, which changes the texture of the challenge. Early obstacles arrive politely and give you time to admire the parallax canopy; by the second minute the gaps tighten to the point where a duck must start before the branch is even on screen. The double obstacle โ€” two roots in a row โ€” is where most runs die, because it demands two perfectly timed jumps in under a second.

Score is distance travelled, and it climbs faster the longer you stay alive, so late-game seconds are worth much more than early ones. Your best run is stored locally. Controls work equally with touch and keyboard: space or the up arrow jumps, the down arrow ducks.

Runs are short and retries are instant, which makes this the classic just-one-more-game loop. Nothing to configure, nothing to unlock, nothing to pay โ€” the jungle does not care about your progress, only your reflexes.

Frequently asked questions

How do I duck on a phone?

Swipe or tap the lower half of the screen while running. The upper half jumps, the lower half ducks.

What obstacles exist?

Ground roots you jump, high branches you duck, and double roots that need two jumps in rhythm.

Does the speed ever reset?

No. Speed climbs for the whole run, which is why late-game dodging feels frantic.

How is the score calculated?

Distance travelled, with the rate increasing the longer you survive.
